Wapred Tour '09 Bonner (Boner) Springs Kansas
It's been almost a week since I found myself at Warped Tour. This was a second year going so i had more of an idea of what to really expect. To be honest I wasn't really excited since I had just gone to a concert four days earlier. I was there from start to finish. I was able to party my face off with four hours of sleep and no food for two days. In return I met some amazing bands, got a sunburn, and had a great time!
Lets just say a cold shower and my bed never felt better.
30h!3- PunkBitch
They were the first band i saw that day. I was second row and totally didn't mind being suffocated and sweated on.
Millionaires- I Like Money
They said "Whatever" alot...
Nevershoutnever!- Happy
He was the last person to perform that day. He was so sweat and adorable. What a great way to end the day. I'm glad I got to see him perform a second time. I only wish I was able to meet him.
I also saw:
Underoath
Saosin
Black Tide
Forever The Sickest Kids

R.I.P Michael Jackson 1958-2009 (6-25-09)
I know this is a few days late but it's worth it.
Even though Michael's private life as of late took over his career and changed the way people saw him, I still find him to be one of the most significant entertainers of our time. He's influenced so much of our culture. He always reinvented himself and was never afraid to take chances. Things like "Thriller", the moon walk, and his glove made its impression on us and has shown up in much of our lives. His music videos constantly were pushing the limits and setting new standards for other artists. Even now, being exposed so much technology, I can see the true genius of his work.
It wasn't until he died that i realized how much he actually did impact me. I did not get the chance to watch his career grow and experience the evolvement of his music but even now, after so many years, i can look back at his work and tell how record breaking they truly are.
I was exposed to Michael when we were starting to shake the 80's. I can remember being incredibly young, a few years before kindergarten, and always asking my baby sitter to play "I'm bad". At that time and for many years afterwards I thought that, that music video was a movie. Me and all of my buddy's, especially me, would watch the video with worshipping eyes. We would then flip the channels just in time to watch Sailor Moon and craze over it until we went home. We would then come back to day care the next day and repeat the whole thing over again.
I also often remember scenes from the music video "Leave me alone". I loved it.
I do find it sad that he died just before his huge come back tour. I refuse to have my perspective of him be hazed by tabloids and gossip. I respect his musical career and there's no denying the fact that he is the King of Pop. He will always live on in my heart.
R.I.P Michael Jackson
EDIT
Also not to be forgotten:
Ferrah Fawcett (6-25-09)
Billy Mays (6-28-09)
Ed McMahon (6-23-09)

Lollipop- 2NE1 & Big Bang
This was accually a promotion for a cellphone that was in Korea. This song is accually pretty popular and there were debates on weather or not it should be on No. 1 music charts because it is an advertisement. It did hit No. 1 on several charts though.
2NE1 pronounced like "to anyone" or "21"
Big Bang is a Korean Boy band group and 2NE1 girls Korean group. 2NE1 is a fairly new group.

This boy has impacted my life more then i can believe to admit.
I have his post-it monster and bamf tee.

Subject: Good-Bye Spring Break...
Body: It will be a week to remember.
I will leave it with a light heart.
Even though I didn't party my brains out,
get lost in the woods, or forget where i am when i woke up,
it's still a week of decent imagination.
It sparked the much needed beginning our a lost friendship,
braught my spirits up, and braught me back down to earth.
The only thing i will regret is not doing the homework that i was suppose to do.
School always brings me much un-needed heart ache.

The Academy Is...
I really dont have anything bad to say about this band. I adore their sound and give them props for everything they've done. The more i see them live the more i adore these guys. My last encounter with them was in Kansas on their snakes and suites tour on March 9th. It was an acoustic show and i think the rain added an even more intimate feel. I stood in line for almost five hours before the show and was second in line. I'm certain its not going to be my last time seeing them.
Due to the fact that all of the TAI TV episodes can no longer be viewed on youtube i will post a video from my youtube. This is a video of sisky "auditioning" for Batman. Its pretty epic and i love them to death.
Also something worth while to check out is William Becketts blog. He posts pictures and what nots to help you stay connected and keep up with the inter workings of the band. Check out William Becketts Blog here.
